New Atlanta Headquarters!

Ok, I admit that by Headquarters I really mean to say apartment and desk, but even so, this is a welcomed change into a great city with great views and all-new Ikea furniture for my workstation.
Now, come on, admit it... you like my workstation, don't ya?

Newspaper Design

Here's the final design and layout for El Informante, a free community service publication that lists important reference information such as what to do in case of an accident, most wanted criminals in the area, rewards and missing people.
I had the privilege of working on this project from the start, developed the identity and all collateral material. More issues will come out soon!

EFF - Capstone

Here are some screenshots of my Design Capstone project. This is the final step before my Bachelor degree and I can't put into words how much fun I'm having with this.
The idea is to contribute with and redesign the identity of EFF (a pro-bono collective of professionals who defend blogger's digital rights). I'll be posting more soon!

Secret New Year Posters

With these three pieces I'm launching the one day poster campaign (as I'm sure that the powers that be will take them down shortly after) advocating for a little conscience. Advocating for the privilege to know and care about others... and have a swell, swell time...

Hopefully, I'll follow up with photos of these babies in their environment. Stay posted!

Secret Project

I'm happy to announce that I'm working on a secret Christmas project with a few of my designer friends from the Art Institute of Tampa.
For now I can't disclose anything other than the fact that it will be a low budget, social awareness poster campaign that will hopefully spread like a virus by the city. We'll be putting in practice the teachings of designers like the infamous Banksy and James Victore (y'know, the club with spikes...) as a social experiment.
I promise I will post the results of our efforts soon since I know how frustrating these "news without news" may be, but I just couldn't hold my excitement!
Stay posted for more.

Tampa Latin Chamber Website

I've just launched into the project of redesigning the website for the Tampa Latin Chamber. If you're familiar with the old website you'll see the difference right away.
For starters it was necessary to accentuate the brand of the Tampa Latin Chamber which was not present on the old template-based website. Also some practical issues needed to be addressed like implementing the ability of the members to post and subscribe to events, (this was solved by using the omnipotent Google Calendar, by the way) and accessibility to the news, etc.
Be aware, the website right now is still a work in process, but I will be posting the progress (as long as I'm allowed) and hopefully will get feedback from you lovely designers who frequent my blog as I go along.

Postcard

These are simple postcards designed for the Tampa Latin Chamber's upcoming event. I'm experimenting on expanding the brand and making it a bit more accesible to younger crowds.

Flyer

Yes, another flyer for Los Hijos de Ismael. This time for the debut concert in Miami, FL. I'm trying something new with the old ultra-modern, worn out, bauhaus-y, same ol' Miami flyer. Instead, I'm going for the minimalistic feel... oh, and the books.
